Interesting John thanks for the update! Problem finding metric... don't you live in the great white north?
You are correct - metric may not be so much a problem, but flat head socket head screws are!
Not something the local hardware store stocks on the shelf.
Chrome plated (like the oem HD ones) would be ideal, stainless would be the next choice, though I've run into trouble with stainless fasteners on occasion.
I can't say if they ship to Canada, but this company is local to me, and near as I can tell, they have everything. I mean, stuff Fastenal does not have.
Can anyone comment about using the Vibratech mount with an oil cooler that installs off the front engine mount? It looks like it should not be a problem. My mount is ruined although I have shaved it a couple of times for some extra life. The True Track certainly helps a lot too.
I put on my front mount oil cooler at the same time as I did my VT mount, I found the VT mount was the only one that would allow me to run one. Works great.
Wow!, ordered Saturday and arrives from England Wednesday.
What did they charge you for shipping? I got mine overnight. But don't know what the shipping charges were.
I got a part from another supplier from England for my bike and I got that overnight. They paid the shipping. Everything comes here by Air Freight so it takes one or two days to get delivered to our door.
I have a part I need to return to England. It weights 5 pounds and shipping is more then the part cost. Almost $200.00 using UPS. I wonder what kind of discounts these guys get sending stuff to the US because we don't get much of a discount sending stuff there.
When ever I want to purchase something off the Interweb, shipping is always the deal breaker. The parts are for sale at a good price but the shipping cost always sucks.
Got up early this Sunday and installed to VT mount.
I was able to install in one piece.
I already had an Jagg oil cooler and had to
remove it to have room to work.
I re-installed it and all is good.
I took it out for a a four hour cruise to Rhode Island, Low and high speed , highway and back road.
I run with a GoPro camera and it is smooth too.
No issues. Love it.
