Default DG Weekday 2up lower?

Looking to pull the trigger on a new DG Weekday 2up, just want to solidify that the seat does indeed lower the rider? Just looking for an inch or so. Not worried about moving back, running mid controls.

It depends on the stock seat. My FatBob stock seat definitely sat a little bit higher.

Thanks guys. I sent Sherry over @ DG an email she said, and I quote:

"Definitely both have low seat heights and narrow leg pass"

It has a solo seat on it now and its wide, when I sat on it my legs were pushed way out to the sides and I couldn't flat foot it. Not really sure I want to lower the bike but the seat will definitaly get me where I want, plus Im swapping out the forwards for mids.
Thank You.

I have taken several seats, pulled the cover back and slimmed down the area you are talking about.

I am short so I usually have to add a little to push me forward also.

You say you are ok because you are going to use forwards, but how is your reach to the bars? If you are extended too much, you will start to get that aching across your traps.

This is one I did for my brother before he switched to a 2 up. It is a stock Street Bob seat slimmed and a little added to move you forward...for sale cheap by the way! lol

We are both currently running modified stock Wideglide seats.

Mine is a little more "extreme" in the shaved area since I built this when I had a bad back and needed more lower support:

The one on my brother's with just a slim down of the center, no push forward looks pretty much stock:

The extreme shave doesn't look as extreme when the bike is on the kickstand:

The reach to the bars isn't bad at all, not pulled forward nor do I need to lean into them, Im thinking of messing around with the solo seat, trimming back the sides to narrow it down a bit, and shaving some out of the butt area to see if I can lower it. See how it comes out.

My 04 Super Glide has the bobtail fender kit on it, the previous owner had it done when they bought it, I do actually like it because its a bit different.
Thanks.

Best way I have found is to make some markings, then cut with electric knife.

I used "Dragon skin" to smooth the foam, but you just drag it across, not push it like sandpaper. It will grate the foam like cheese and will leave it nice...a piece of sandpaper wrapped around a round piece of wood (tree branch) also helps to get nice contours.
