Im running 25/52. Its pretty close to stock gearing. I commute on the bike and like to run around 80mph. The bike makes plenty of power for stock gearing

oh wow and you say you have almost no contact uh that's good to know that's what I wanted to hear!! Haha.. I'm looking for a little more torque mostly cause I like to ride wheelies I would like the front end to snap up a little quicker and it would also be fun to take my buddys off the line , light to light .. do you think I could see your setup ? Sorry I'm being a total pain in the *** but your the first person that has really been able to help me. Thank you so much that parts list cleared up a lot !

This simple calculator may serve 96sled's purpose. And Sled, you need to know your own info first to compare

OR you could just use your "Texas Instruments"

Well not much progress here,my parts have all arrive from across the pond, rear sprocket and spacer fitted with the ARP bolts but so far hit a dead end trying to remove the drive pulley.
I know this has been covered before so its just a moan but why the hell does that nut have to be so tight!!,I am using the correct socket with left hand thread bush and the pulley is locked,my electric wrench wouldn't look at it and I broke the end off my 600mm breaker bar without the nut even moving.

I am wary of putting too much heat on it in case the oil seal gets damaged but that seems to be the only way left,so I will give that a go when my new 750mm breaker bar arrives next week, but in all my years of working on mostly Jap bikes I have never encountered a fastener this stubborn.

Well even with the new 750mm breaker and me putting my full weight on it and bouncing up and down the nut wouldn't shift,it was all going to end up messy probably with the bike toppling off the stand with me underneath it so I decided to grind it off with a Dremel.
In the end it wasn't too bad, just ground a groove 3/4 way through it and gave it a couple of whacks with a chisel and it cracked.

At least my homemade pulley tool worked held out well although it won't be much use for holding the sprocket.

The only thing I am not too happy with is the Bung King rear sprocket which is very thin,I should have realised as it states on the website that it is suitable for 530 and 520 chains, there is a lot of sideways play on the chain and only time will tell if it will get chewed up quickly,I wish now I had gone for the PBI rear but I wanted to get everything from one vendor to save shipping.

I had a trial run with an old 120 link endless chain from a Kawasaki 900 Ninja which seems to have enough free play with my 25/55 sprockets so a new one of those is next on my shopping list.

Would anyone happen to have the part number for the drive pulley nut ?

Thanks
Ian
