Anybody know if another HD part will work on the switchback? My husband is wanting a heel toe and I can't find one to get for his birthday. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
a member of the switchback owners site was able to make a factory heal / toe shifter ( sorry I cant remember which model ) work without a great deal of modifications or welding..
Ok, so I purchased two products out of the drag specialties catalog yesterday to see if I can put together a heel toe shifter. I spent around $50 ordering the two parts, one of which is a stock HD part, so if it doesn't work, I didn't spend fortune doing it. The parts should be here early next week and if I get it figured out, I'll post pics and info, if not I'll tell you about the failure.
yep, picked up a softail dual shift lever, flattened it out with a press and picked up an aftermarket linkage rod. Both out of the Drag Specialties book.
