So I bumped up from 16 Discs to 20, and got a 20 mile ride in on the map I had autotuned for 16. Definite difference, bike now pulls up to the rev limiter instead of running out of breath. If I lost any on the bottom its small, and is only right off idle, everywhere else feels better. Not really any louder either ---on my 96" with Andrews 48h cams
I put on the open end cap and went down to 12 disks to see what that was like. Slightly different sound nice, little louder. I also got on the freeway for the first time since changing. 5th gear torque is absolutely incredible. Seems stronger or earlier or something than the previous pipes. Maybe that's the difference between the 2:1 vs 2:2.
Vance and Hines support also provided a new map based on the cams and 2:1 pipe which seems a bit smoother. I'm going to play with disks a bit more to decide if I notice any difference and then auto tune.
Closed so far, but its awfully quiet except when you get on it, then it sounds good
Understood, I like the quiet considering where I'm coming from. From an ego perspective it's different not seeing people turn their heads and smiling but I can deal with that!
Did my second Autotune ride this morning, 20 discs closed end cap, running on the map I autotuned for about 35 minutes yesterday from 16 discs. Did about 50 minutes today
One thing I had noticed since my cam change this spring and running 16 discs, was I had more vibration, especially at highway speeds in 6th. Not terrible but definitely noticeable. Running with 20 discs closed end cap today It was smooth as glass again, maybe better than stock cam/V&H slip ons. Didnt expect the harmonics to make that big of difference but I am really happy!

Wow, that's encouraging. I definitely noticed a big increase in bad vibes around 2900-3600 (kind of where I live most of the time unfort) when I put on the Cycle Shacks and the Power Vision. The Supermeg goes on tomorrow and the dyno appt is set for Thursday night. I was hoping to be able to watch the dyno run, but they say no... Either way, I'm pretty psyched.

Shame that you can't watch at least part of it. Will they play with the number of disks to find the right balance of torque and HP for you?
I wouldn't leave my bike with a shop that kept me out of the work/dyno area.
Well, it's not entirely surprising. At least here in NY, most places don't allow customers in work areas - insurance implications I guess. They don't want a spring firing across the room into the customers face I expect.
That being said, I agree, I really want to be there while they dyno...
