Hey guys and gals, I'm having trouble with my windshield, and I need some advice... I have an 08 Super Glide Custom with the HD quick release windshield. I find that the only way to prevent wicked wind buffeting, is to put the windshield all the way down so it covers the headlight. Any thoughts or other buffeting prevention ideas??
I see your new to the forums. Just so we know about your riding experience. How long have you been riding? Is this your first bike? Is the buffering really bad or just some wind from being on a motorcycle? I have the QR windshield too and when I first started to ride again. It seemed like any wind 50+mph was alot. Now I'm more used to it and it's not such a big deal. Maybe you just need more time in the wind? I don't know for sure, but it's just a suggestion. Also maybe try some lower wind deflectors?
Yea, I have a '13 FXDC w/H-D tall detachable. I really don't have any problems. Air does come up from the knees up to the chest and head. I find it refreshing, but there are "lowers" that can block some of that.
I have a St Bob and mine is all the way down but does not cover the light. I also made a small piece that allows the bottom to be kicked out about an inch which in turn let the top lay back.

Ride safe..
I've been riding for 10 years, this is my third bike, second Harley, the buffeting is so bad with the windshield in the proper position, that I get a headache after 5 mins of riding... It is ok with the windshield at its lowest position but it looks stupid that way. Lol
I have a HD quick release compact on my superglide and the only time I had problems with buffeting is when Ive worn my ff helmet. I usually wear a 1/2 lid and prescription glasses without watery eyes and annoying wind noise. I run my bottom clamp about 1" up from the lower tree

Can you post a pic of the front of the bike so I can see the headlight? Thanks
