shifting on FXD 2010
Installed a Harley Forward control kit on Stormy and it looks great, feels a tad different (will get used to it), olny one problem-finding neutral-hard as hell to find it unless I reach down with my hand- will this get better as it wears in?It a OEM stlye Harley control set, made for the bike so there wasnt any butchin-any ideas

I had the same problem on my 09 FXD until I changed my fluids to AMSOIL. Had a similar problem on my 05 Electra Glide until I switched to AMSOIL too. Don't want to make this into an oil thread by any means and in the interest of full disclosure I am now an AMSOIL dealer but have used and loved their products for years.

The bike has 5k on it, just as hard to find neutral off as on,Ill try one of the other additives when the time comes clutch seems to be fine where its at,guess my foot is just heaver than my hand.All fluids were changed when I first got the bike 4k,I had a local mechanic go through it,everything seems to be ok.

I agree with check clutch adjustment, is simple to perform, while most all wet clutches drag some when cold, warm should be ok. my 2014 is simple to find neutral, just have plane old mobil 1 v twin in primary and gearbox.

Too much as well as too little primary oil can/will affect finding neutral. Was the tranny in neutral when the shift linkage got connected, go through step again and see if it's better.
