So there is a plug that has a cap on it that has just hanging by my throttle body since I bought the bike. I bought the bike used and I know that the O2 sensors have been pulled. I'm assuming when the last owner had the drop-in K&N filter and V&H pipes put in they had a tune done. Well I changed the filter today and was able to get a better look at the cable and picture. The cable comes to the TB with (what I'm assuming) is the throttle positioning sensor. The bike has been running fine but I still want to know what this cable is for....does anyone know?
The title of your thread leaves you open to a lot of comebacks (you know "your momma")
I think it's a euro thing actually but I just zip tie mine up and out of the way. Or cut it off but I wouldn't suggest it.
Yup, for Euro bikes. Don't remember exactly what for, but it's in just about every air cleaner install thread on here. Just tuck it out of the way however you like.
Just what those guy's said. It's an extra plug on all harnesses but used only for some additional gadget for European bikes, I think there's 3 assorted blank plugs scattered in harnesses for Euro application.
That plug has a mounting clip on the back of the factory Air Cleaner Plate, but no place for it on after market stuff, just tie it back up inside there someplace and no worries.
Cool deal. I just zip tied it away so all it good in the world. I just know I'm missing the O2 sensors and didn't know if something else was missing too. I'm planning on putting some wide band O2s in when I go big bore, cams, and auto-tuner and wanted to make sure there isn't something on the throttle side that I was going to have to add as a result of the last owner as well.

This, it's the active intake solenoid connector used on the European bikes
