Are tens of thousands very happy with spending only $100 and getting a much smoother accelerating, stronger accelerating bike from the XiED's? Yes.

Different strokes for different folks...or, like in my case...

I have several bikes. Some I want to get every last bit of possible power out of, and I use the Power Vision tuner.
That's Honest! Thanks Kevin.

DK Custom

Thanks for all that info

One last question, would a fuelpak also help with the engines temperature. It is regulating the air and fuel mixture, or at least that's what the vance and hince fuelpak advertise.

Best bang for the buck, with just pipes and an air cleaner, is probably to let the bike's stock computer compensate on its own. Lots of people doing this without problems, and so am I.

The ECM can compensate until 5% of temp, Barometric pressure, airflow, etc.
When you change your exhaust, you can win 15% airflow more than stock.
The ECM can't compensate that and you lost the extra of torque and your bike don't turn round.
The only way for get power after a changing exhaust is to tune the spark advance tables.
For that you need a tuner. With modern tools we can also tune the spark advance for delete knock retard.
And i don't talk about backfiring...
Compare to a good tuner, Xied are like bandage on a wooden leg.
Some guys don't want to spend 500$ for a good tuner but are ready to buy 100$ a pair of resistors (50 cts/u) hide behind a piece of plastic.
Funny
Here the explanation by Dynojet of the VE tables job.

The VE table is the main table that models engine airflow so AFR can be accurately calculated.
This table is influenced by the camshaft, exhaust system, head design, engine displacement and air filter.
This is the most critical item that must be correct in order to make the bike run correctly.
To increase fuel make the values larger. To decrease fuel make the values smaller.
Here the VE and the Spark advance front cyl maps. Very far from a pair of resistors.

Nope. Just riding your bike from Denver to sea level requires double that 5% change (which the ECM handles automatically), and that's not even including air density changes due to variations in temperature.

Default Power vision... no real frame of reference

I just got a power vision for my bike and have been blown away by what it does/offers. i even balked at the price/value when it was held out by forum members as the next coming.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...-appeared.html

i like the versatility, but i'm still a novice and am being coached. night and day difference in my bike between stock mapping and after 6 rushed runs in auto tune based on a preloaded map.

the win pv provides lots of metrics to...90% of which is over my head right now, but i'll keep at it until i break something.

i really have nothing to compare it to. my sporty received the HD 1200 stage 1 download. that ran me 150. looks like theyu waived shop fees. (love lancaster hd):

so that's 150 for a 1 time use vs paying more for a tool that can be used over and over.

You'r right.
The 5% of adaptability is only for the airflow in VE tables.
