Had to move this fall and lost my shed, I'm storing the bike under the deck at my bros place, she's covered and well out of the weather and the deck has siding all around it, so she's somewhat out of the elements. There's always an abundant of lil critters looking to get out of the cold, and to build a winter palace......anyone have any tips or tricks I could do to keep them away?
Seat, saddlebags and battery have been removed.
Thanks from dreary ole New England.

Jesus, I'd probably lose my mind. What about one of those bike shelter tents like this? http://www.cycleshell.com or similar?
Are there no self storage/mini storage places around? In this area there are many; clean, dry and most with security cameras. Why would you leave a Harley under a deck in winter where critters and moisture could gain access to it when for a few bux a month your HD could be dry and secure?
She's covered up pretty good and tucked under the deck, it's almost shed like under there, I'm just worried bout the lil critters creepin under the cover, I've had them in my toolbox and chewing wires on my Arctic Cat ATV in my last house, price for living in the country.
I did look at the Cycleshell and went as far as to call them bout it but it's just a lil rich for me right now, thus why I'm not dropping $75+ on self storage. I crack a very large child support nut every month, close to the tune of nice mortgage payment. Dam ex.
stuff some 0000 steel wool in the tailpipes (rags would probably do )
get some of the above (it comes in different sizes i do not use the bait station) scatter a few pieces around the bike... maybe place some under your cover on the bike (probably on rags or pieces of wood or cardboard.
make sure you do not cover it with any type of plastic, sheets work nice.
i did an outside storage once years ago.... when i got it out there was some not noticeable rust on the tubes... which sliced the seals... was an expensive mess.....
Never done outside storage in 37 years of owning motorcycles. Your bike your call.
She wouldn't be sitting out there if I was in my last place, not to mention I would've never bought a bike if I didn't have a place to store, unfortunate things happened so I had to grab the first place I could find, but thanks for your contribution.
JWeeds, Thanks, I'll do the steel wool for the pipes, that'll keep em out of there, I never thought of the poison. duh! Thanks.
The bike IS cover and out of the elements, my concern is the critters making a home in it. Even with PVC and few tarps. field mice and chipmunks will find a way to get in, most likely chew thru a tarp.
