Hello all Merry Christmas,
this holiday season I will be installing new T Bars on an 08 Street Bob. This includes new cables, electrical, grips, etc. Is there anything in particular I need to know such as special tools, tips, or things to watch out for? This will be my first true project on the bike. My main question however is how to get the screws to seat correctly with the integrated triple tree to the bracket on the bars. The angle will not allow the screws to drop in freely, so how do I best modify the bars or screws to make it fit?
Thanks for the help!
?? The T bars should bolt directly to the upper triple tree with the same bolts holding the risers on currently. Unbolt risers that secure your current bars, set new bars in place and tighten bolts from underneath the top triple tree.

Are you installing the SBOB bars from WCT-bars? I put a 12'' set of the mx-bars on my 2011 SB and for the bolts closest to the neck, I had to cut a small amount of the bolt off. I read about someone doing that on this forum somewhere. I want to say I cut an 1/8" at time and tried it until they fit. Once they dropped in, they got torqued up with no issues. They've been on for a little over 5000 miles with no issues thus far.
