I wish I had brought my rivets and trim. I didn't expect this to go so quick.
Question for the leather pros (looking at you, Krazy8s)
I didn't account for the changing stitch spacing at the corners where the radii are different, so I have some minor puckering. I could stretch it out, but I was wondering if there is a good way to shrink the leather on the pucker area like you can with a vinyl or canvas convertible top...
Thoughts?

Not a lot you can do about I'm afraid. You could try wetting it down an seeing if it will shrink a little when it dries, but unlikely with chrome tanned leather.
Normally you would double over your stitches on every other hole, that gathers in the "slack" as you go around the corner. But I'm guessing you're not in the mood to unpick it all and do over.
Unpick and start over... Hmm... 10-12 more hours plus I'd have to order more thread...3 days & $20.
I think I can live with stretching it out!
Got the stressful 3-way intersection done. I miscounted by about half a stitch on one side, so I kinda improvised. It doesn't terminate as I'd planned but I think it looks OK. If I had some Red cord, I'd probably do that final "double X" in red.
But, it'll do Pig.

Looks good, you've done a great job. Can't really see the offset of the last stitch, and after a few hundred miles of *** bashing the seat it will probably move about a little anyways, so don't sweat it.
Thanks guys. I must say I'm pretty happy with it. Really wishing I could finish it up today but the rest of the parts are 12 hours away.
Once I get done hpuse sitting here I get to learn another new skill: TIG brazing. That should be fun. I can torch braze with my eyes shut so I'm expecting the new heat source will be fairly easy to adapt to. Will see.
