I never rode with those pipes unwrapped but I wouldn't expect to notice a difference. I just like the look.

**** man. Sorry to hear that. I've heard that happens when wrapping the pipes directly. That really sucks. It looks great with the white seat and white walls.

I think I want to wrap the shields and all. Not sure how that will look but I don't want to have the same problem.

Do you think you'd do it again if you had the chance?

Default Exo

So, did you ever get the Exo and if so, how does it look?

Default Stage 1 Complete

Finally got a stage 1 done. Wrapped the head pipes right over the heat shields to prevent the pipes from cracking and to keep the thickness. Arlen Ness Big Sucker. FP3 tuner. I think it looks great. Sounds awesome! If I had to do it again I'd buy a 50' roll of DEI wrap instead of the two 15' rolls I used. But then again, I will probably just go ahead and get the EXO next time.

But all in all, I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

Just a heads up, mine were wrapped over the heat shields and they still cracked. I don't think I would ever wrap my pipes again unless it was just a show bike.

Never had a good outcome wrapping headers or manifolds. I have done it work, and on my hot rods. Always cracked.
