Clunking clutch
Anyone had this symptom. Went for a ride today and probably put 20 mi. or so on. Upon returning home I noticed that the primary made a clunking noise whenever I would release the clutch. I serviced this a couple of days ago and replaced primary oil with formula plus oil(32 0z). I have ridden it probably three or four times since the service and it shifted very smoothly. Clutch does no slip just clunks. I have checked to make sure that there was no leak under bike. Can anyone tell me whats going on with this? Thanks in advance.

Also checked to make sure ther is oil in primary.Manual says hard shifting caused by too much oil. Drained out maybe 2oz. Test drove and still has small clunk when clutch is engaged. Could it be that the formula plus is causing this. What type oil is in the primary from factory?

my bike is an 06 Wide Glide and it does that clunking all the time when you release the clutch. I don't pay much attention to it anymore. I run Mobile 1 synthetic, but it has made that noise ever since I've had it. I have about 8000 miles on it and the clutch works fine.

85/140 is transmission lube..........not for primary..........20w 40 synthetic is the ticket
