Thanks for that, I looked at them a while ago but did not fancy drilling holes in shield in case I had to sell it, again works for some and not for others so it was no drilling for me, I did not want to lose my cash twice.
On my fat bob I tried using the rifle fat bob brackets that are supposed to eliminate buffeting, didn't help.
Next, i used those brackets with a clearview recurve windshield which helped quite a bit, but still get it in certian wind conditions.
Next I added the Memphis Shades lowers and didn't notice much difference. I have a tool bag under the headlight as well.
I'm skeptical if you can truly get rid of it. The main reason I wanted a shield was to help with the wind noise, which it does at the expense of buffeting, my ears are super sensetive to wind noise even with earplugs on long rides.
Seems to be that some riders get lucky and can get rid of all buffeting, and others well if we can get rid of 80 to 90% it is already a bonus especially on mega long rides in bad weather, I have a Fatbob also and it may just be the nature of the beast, as others have success, and others keep battling on looking for perfection, great thing is this forum rocks for great feedback and ideas.

OK cool now its starting to make sense to me, it is the wind bashing underneath the helmet that causes the buffeting, so a helmet skirt, or something to divert the wind away from the flat bottom of the helmet should work wonders, if this is the solution, everyone owes me a beer.
