Hi Abez.
This is just supplemental information to what multihdrdr has already posted.
The Fat Bob legs are a old school way to get dual discs on a Dyna. A few photos to show what I had to do to get the XR calipers and the stock fender fitted to the Fat Bob legs. The XR calipers are excellent regardless of what legs you use and are every bit as good as the four piston Brembos.

Machine work on the calipers. Lots of material on the extremely beefy XR caliper lugs, no strength is lost by cutting them down.

Required modification to the fender mount.

End result...

Hey thanks to everyone's comments and help.
I ended up milling down the mounting points on the fork sliders. I took them to my local machine shop and had the sliders milled down .040 on the right side and .187 on the left. the shop was able to leave most of the mounting tabs intact and milled down around the hole that the bolt goes through so the calipers are seated in closer to the sliders and away from the rotor.
The calipers now fit perfectly on the rotors and seated on the sliders.

THANKS!!!

I should add that Right-side needs a little removed also if you want to do it "Right"...just not as much.

A pretty close approximation (which really will you get there) would be to remove:
approx .180" (maybe up to .190") Left-side (clutch lever side)
approx .040" (maybe up to .050") Right-side (brake lever side)

FWIW, I am going to perform a super precise measurement soon, but won't be tomorrow

Excellent! ...Did you also slit/slot the fender mounts like nemos is showing?

I have not yet, but I will be doing that.
Thanks Nemosengineer for the advice. I will be cutting my fender to line up with the mounting point holes.

The benefit (IMO) of using the top hole of the fender and slotting the bottom so that you catch the bottom hole, is that since the Fat bob slider's top hole is lower than the other models, that then lowers the fender and reduces that tire-to-fender gap you had with original sliders...looks better to me

Im bringing up this thread because I have made the mistake and bought a set of chromed sliders on ebay from a fatbob for my FXDC Dual disk conversion just to find out the fender and calipers issues.

The fender part is easy, however on the caliper part some meat needs to be shaven off, could using a dremel to do such task would be a good idea? I have certain doubts about the result being completely flat so the caliper sits correctly on the slider, else i'll have to find a machinist here that can do this work.

Any insights are welcome.
