I have a 2006 streetbob and I recently swapped wheels off of a 2016 lowriderS and dual brakes.
I went from 1" axles to a 25mm axles to make the wheels work.
i was wondering if there is any issue in the rear with the swingarm and the axle block adjuster fitment of the 25mm axle considering they were set up for the 1" axle.
it seems to be fine but I've been told it shouldn't have worked.
I noticed my swingarm and axle block are different part numbers than the newer ones.

Is there a safety risk here?

The statement "it shouldn't have worked" becomes an obstacle that you HAVE TO solve before continuing is if you were changing from 25mm axle to 1"... it NO FITTY Through Hole
Moving from 1" to 25mm is not "Right", but close in sizing that it will fit and most people wouldn't notice.
If I was to use the 25mm axle in the 1" "adjusters", I would at least make sure that the bike was on the ground (weight on the wheel before tightening the nut.
That being said, I personally would just make new ones or you may want to get the 25mm adjusters they're the same external sizing

it was brought to my attention by a shop after I mentioned it to them. I rode the bike and never noticed anything strange. but it seemed to make sense, a minute difference wouldn't be too noticeable. I just didn't want to take a fast corner and the rear wobble, roll or something
and yes, that what I was thinking, swap the adjusters .
That's comparing the 2016 to 2006. .the 25mm axle came out in 2008. So you'd need to compare the swingarm part # to 2008. The swingarm didn't get the -10 part number until 2010+ after the 25mm axle had already been in use for two years. It doesn't matter that the wheels are off a 2016 for purposes of figuring out which swingarm(s) will fit. In other words I could put those wheels on my 2009 swingarm with zero issues, which carries the -06 part number.
I think you have your answer about what to do with the adjusters.
