i bought a 2008 super-glide about a month ago it has 25k miles. when i get above 55 the bike almost feels like its floating to the point it feels like a good hard gust of air could shake me out of control. it does have a cluck coming from the front once and a while over bumps but not all the time. checked everything i could think of in the front end and cant find anything loose. the tires have good tread and i cant see them being original with that many miles. harley davidson tires. handles fine at lower speeds ... any suggestions gentleman? thank you!
The tires look good but how old are they? It does matter.
the tires look old but being there is 25k miles on it imassuming they were replaced at least once. so really with the bike being 9 years old they could have been replaced once or twice. if i do end up replacing the tires just lfor piece of mind do you have any recommendations?? im not to concerened about price i want good tires.
thanks golf and other gents! where could i get a decent repair manual for this bike do i have to go thru Harley or is there other places

I got my service manual new from board tracker Harley. Their prices are always lower for HD parts and accessories. Yours being a bit older you may find a used one cheap on eBay or elsewhere.
Look on the sidewall of your tires for a DOT number. It's should say DOT xxxx. The numbers indicate what week in which year they were made.
