Mine came on the bike already, but I think it's the standard height removable HD. I'm 6'-1" and look over it most of the time, unless I duck behind it for rain or major wind. Never tried riding without, damn bugs in MI.

Get the standard size quick detach and custom cut it to your liking. I like mine about 1 1/2" below eye level. They are easy to cut, and there are directions in the DIY section.

Regards,

Bill

Intruder this is the part #58751-05 for the one I have. It doesn't leave anything behind. This is for the whole setup though I couldn't find anything for just the hardware since you already have the windshield.

Just to mention I felt the same way and picked up this new Dyna detachable screen leaving no hardware behind. Easy installation. Would note it isn't any better at removing the wind/buffeting vs other H-D screens on a Dyna WG, but it is nice to have a choice having some of the wind minimized and having it taken off with no leave behinds in seconds.

I kept checking with one of the guys at the local HD shop. He found me the quick release windshield, compact ..a 350 dollar item for 75 bucks and looks brand new. What i really like is all the hardware is off the bike when removed. When they say quick release, it is just that. Flip four tabs and it's off. The hardware that attaches to the bike is also very well made and "CHROME" so it looks good on the scooter. Shop around at swap meets too.

98' FXD Bought a sportster windshield that also fits the FXD Superglide. Not quick release but takes no more than 5 minutes to put it on & take it off. Don't know what the real advantage is of the quick release. I leave the mounting brackets on the down tubes and just unscrew with an alan head. Ebay $120.00 I didn't want to put much ($) into this because its on & off depending where i go.
