IDK...I thought "break" fluid was used for this:

And..."brake" fluid was used in vehicles...

Doesn't mean you're going to automatically die if you don't change it - does mean its effectiveness diminishes over time

By how much - no clue - but why chance it - changing fluid is about a beer and a half job

Then again...

Take your time..., listen to some good music..., enjoy the time..., and make it a 3 or 4..., hell even 5 or 6 beer job

Every 2 yrs. DOT 4.

Any vacuum bleeder kit can bleed the brakes. Shouldnt take more than an hr with beers. Invest in one, theyre cheap, and keep your labor money.
