I have a 99 FXDWG with a Memphis Shades Batwing fairing and a 12" windshield, I'm 6'2" and generally look just over the top with it adjusted as high as it will go. I wear a fullface helmet and have done many mods and test runs to eliminate buffeting.
I look through the shield on my Switchback, I replaced my stock shield with a 16inch shield with recurve.
Only have the shield on for touring or to/from work as its 75kph each way and I leave for work at 3:00AM.
17 inch Memphis Shades. I`m 5' 8" and I look over it but I can also raise it up 2" on the forks because of the HD quick release clamps. I never have though. Buffeting is very minimal and not a bother.
