I've been through a few seats and have yet to find the Goldilocks zone.
In my garage, I currently have...
Stock seat (Switchback)
- HD Tallboy
- Mustang Wide Touring solo and pillion
- Corbin Classic Solo w/ backrest and pillion
I am looking for a seat with the following attributes...
- Sits at least 1" higher than stock
- Sits at least 1" rearward from stock
- Has a backrest that is adjustable
- Leather
Does such a seat exist? All of the above mentioned seats have some of these attributes, but none have all. I'm ready for Goldilocks!
Anyone know how the Danny Gray IST TourIST and LowIST seats reposition the rider? Backrest available? I've tried calling and emailing them. No response.
C&C Seats - I've talked to them about this and they don't do higher than stock seats, only lower. Don't want lower.
Have you considered something like Corbin, that can make a custom seat for you? You might want to pre-arrange a visit to their shop, and have them design it while you are there.
I have know a few friends use Ultimate seats. They can be custom made for your weight, height, and just about anything else you can think of. The friends love those seats.
i have a like brand new signature series seat with rider backrest. It was put on bike but never ride on before trading bike in. Paid 549.00 and will sell for 300.00 and shipping

Hi
I had a corbin made exactly to them specs, plus heated for my back. Twas a bit hard on the lard at first, but either the seat has moulded to me, or my butt has to the seat. Can go 10 hours on a day with it. it didnt cost me any extra, than if i made a stock purchase.
may be worth speaking to corbin (or another custom seat company) and trade in your existing for what you need
what i would say, is that with this custom size, you lose access to the rear seat mount, for a rack say. the corbin pillion if you want one, fits obviously
I could make you one to spec, thats one of the things I do for a crust, but thinking the costs for me to do it here in Switzerland then the shipping costs would make it prohibitive, not to mention fine tuning the ergonomics to what you think is comfy wouldnt be possible.
I suggest you go find a good saddle/Seat maker (Capt Itch on the forum here would be a good place to start) and ask about a custom seat. Aint NUTHIN more comfy than a seat made for your Butt only
