Did you adjust them with a tension gauge? 10 lbs pressure and flex amount per the service manual. Check the sides of the belt for wear to see if one side touches the rear gear pulley, the belt will be shiny on one side versus the other and the belt pulley will be shiny on the same side. Try having someone that is your weight sit on the bike while you flex the belt to see if the deflection changes, you may be surprised that loading the suspension may change the tightness of the belt. Alignment may also cause your issues, do you have cam adjusters o the rear? I needed to grease mine up so they slid easily and did not bind on one side of the axle when I did mine. My right side would move a little when I tightened the axle nut and not stay against the tab. Greasing the edges of the cam allowed the axle to center better and align the axle.
