Gas indicator problem
The instructions pretty clearly state that an initial st up period is needed for the gauge to work.
aka; you gotta burn a take full of gas through it so the gauge can read itself.
I wouldn't panic too much until you had a chance to do that.
While your waiting for riding weather,, read the instructions again.

Much appreciated!
fyi, this is not a new installation, I just disconnected the tank and reconnected all of it again, except for the left cap connection. I hope the instruction also apply for this situation.
“When adding fuel to the vehicle it is recommended you add at least 2 gallons (1 gallon for 2.1 gallon Sportster®tank) of fuel to update the fuel and range displays. If the fuel display does not update immediately after the vehicle is put in motion the fuel and range displays will slowly update over the next 30 miles.”

The fuel sending unit in the tank gets it's power from the original fuel gauge on the left side of the tank. The signal is then used by the speedometer. You need an original style fuel gauge in addition to using the speedometer.
There have to be a way to get around this. What if I connect the wires together? 😂
