hey! first post here, I Purchased my first harley in July it's a stage 3 2008 fxdf it has heavy breather, v&h big radius, tuner, Kury tc-24d 579 cams, adjustable push rods, performance clutch spring, and a 103 top end. I think that's about everything. Besides a couple small Maintenace issues I cleaned had to clean up,
the bike runs fantastic and has about 12000 miles on it.
That being said the only thing I have noticed is when it starts, sometimes it seems to cycle a couple times before it fires up or sometimes produces a sound that I can only describe as a sneeze then will fire right up. No oil coming out anywhere and always runs fine. I replaced the battery and changed the fluids when I picked it up but beyond that I haven't tinkered with anything that could be related.
i do notice in YouTube videos (hah) that some built Harley's will sound similar when starting but was curious if there could be a issue and where to look.
I appreciate any any advice and sorry for writing a book!
Sounds normal to me. If this is happening when the bike is in gear, try putting it in neutral...also make sure your battery is good, get a tendor and use it all the time...

I'll half to start, didn't really think I'd need to I ride 365 days a year. I rigged up the plug for it but figured I'd only use it when going days/weeks without getting on it, which is extremely rare.
Even with a new battery which is tendered all the time, my 103 will crank several times before starting. Seems to be common. Good looking bike, I've always liked the look of those pipes.
Im pretty sure all EFI bikes require two or three revolutions minimum before the ECM will start the spark. I read this is for a reason but I cant recall what it was.
I never noticed it being unusual. Then I got my carbed FXR which will often start instantly, like before a quarter of a revolution which I kinda laugh at every time it happens.
