Yeah, tried the touring Brembos too with same results. Easy resell for me, so no big deal. Explained pretty well here that they dont work. Why not go with the Arlen Ness big rotor kit, stock calipers and better pads? No mess, easy parts grab and a HUGE improvement over your current setup. What I ended up doing on my LRS after dismal brakes and already a dual disc setup. Well worth the dough, easy install and work great. Made braking a 1 finger affair. Just another option.

I like projects and dumping stupid amounts of money into my bike. But really, I want better stopping power and like the look of dual disk. And finding reasonably priced, good looking mags for single disk would be just as much, if not more, than doing the dual disk setup. LRS mags aren’t even that much.

From one one side of the fence, this brembo conversion does not work... unless you go with VROD sliders. And I’ve also spoken with folks who have done it, and it works with FXDLS sliders. That’s why I’m so damned confused.

<<< You are talking with folks who should not modify motorcycles and should not own tools. The measurements are the measurements. If those who modify motorcycles, especially major safety components would first spend a few minutes actually thinking than using common sense, they could claim something works. I do not care what you do as it is not my *** on that modification/abortion. I showed you the way and it does not take very much to figure out the truth in the matter or you can take the highly qualified "folks" advice without thinking.

Jeff (BrakeTech) and myself are doing several products concerning braking over this upcoming winter. I asked for a few years to go into Dyna's but he has no interest as his focus is on Sport Bikes. I do the HD end of that business. Call and ask.

Default A quick note

After a phone call in the VA parking lot in downtown Miami, I will let you in a little bit of wisdom. In place of buying those 7 pound OEM "Floating" HD rotors save your coin up as we are going back to work on some budget braking systems using our adapters so we can offer HD Dresser Brembos calipers and adapters along with new pads so you can run 3.1/2 # 320mm rotors on either dressers (FLT) or these V-Rod sliders. I have been using 320mm rotors for many years and there is no comparison between either the stock 11 1/2" or 300mm. When I have the time I will install and test them on my Dresser. I have the 320's on my FXDL using real Brembo's Not my first time. I did not include that picture because we have scum bags that copy my ideas and call them their own.

This is a flat slab 11 1/2" HD rotor. The "Floating" HD SS rotor weighs in at 7 pounds each.

Thanks for taking the time to chat, Howard. Send me info on the adapters when you can... I couldn’t find them on your site. Those 320 rotors also look great. Are you offering those now?

as for the VRod sliders setup, in your post about Jay’s bike, you mention “machining” the inside. What does that entail? I’m currently running race tech’s front kit with gold emulator. Thanks.

Machining the sliders is completely unnecessary as per telephone call. I do not know where that came from. I did machine Jay Risk's internals (Damper Rods) to work much better with his Race Tech but that has no bearing on this post.

PS, I have been offering 320mm since 2005 or so.
