I had plans to slowly gather parts to convert to dual discs on my 2012 FXDB. I just realized Sunday that I need new pads on both front and back, so I need to make my decision now on which direction I'm going in so I don't have to pay twice.
I'm torn between going with speed Merchant or Kraus radial brake mounts to be used with Brembo or Tokico calipers or dual Ness big brake kits.
I really like the look of the jagged 15 in big brake rotors so I've been looking to see if anybody does a radial mount for a 15 inch rotor but as far as I can tell it doesn't exist, unless I have it machined and have it made.
If anybody has experience with both and could weigh in the information would be greatly appreciated.

What's up Blue Bob. Someone told me that you machined a radial mount for a big brake rotor. They told me you put up a thread on the mount you machined but i cannot find it. Would you mind posting a link?

I have seen a few people mention that they have had better results with Ness BB Kit with stock calipers than radial mounts with Tokicos.
Right now I'm leaning towards dual Ness bb kits with stock calipers just because i already have a used caliper lined up for next to nothing.
Does anyone know if EBC HH pads can be used with Ness BB rotors?
Also i need to choose between jagged or circular . I like the look of jagged but i have reas several people say they had a lot of wobble when thry uded the jagged. One user it the reveb felt like the rhythm of a jack hammer when they braked but they said the disc wasnt warped. I'm assuming the pad was clamping on tbe jagged edge.
I hate to have to ask so many questions but these parts aren't cheap so i want to get as mu h info before i buy.

Once the pads and rotor are seasoned there will be no noise. For the first few hundred miles you will hear a slight flutter but absolutly NO feed back thru the lever.
On my conversion I went to great care to ensure the pads contact the entire surface of the rotor.
Speed merchant with tokicos and galfer rotors here.
Biggest improvement was changing the master out to a brembo rcs19. It really makes use of rotors and caliper

How does the RCS19 integrate with the HD switch housing? was it straight bolt on or did you have to modify stuff?
It comes with an included brake switch. Works on my precanbus bike all you have to do is splice into the oem brake switch . Canbus bikes youll have to buy a different switch. Forum member union53 got around the canbus system. He is currently doing a dual disc conversion and is going to upgrade to this master Id ask him

You need to modify. Depending on what year bike you can use the micro switch supplied with the master with small modification or you will need to source your own switch like I did if you have the canbus system because of the way Harley programed it.
