Anyone have some pics of some black Wild1 Chubby 14" classic apes (WO572) on their Street Bob? Or any other bars that are good quality, look similar, and you recommend, that you have on you bike? Also, can I get away with stock cables on these bars or the ones you are recommending? And would they put my hands above my shoulder level if I am 5'10"?
I've been talking about replacing the 10" stock mini apes on my 2012 FXDB for quite a few years now and was originally going to go the zbar route, but like the curves of the classic apes more now.

I have black 1" diameter Southeast Custom Cycles 12" apes on my 11 Street Bob. They are only 1.5" taller than stock so all of the original cables and wires were good. I think if you went to 14" the clutch cable would be too short. Also, I am about 5'11" and these bars put my hands just barely below should height but I tend to slouch when I ride.
When I bought my bike, it had 16" apes, but the guy included the original 10" mini apes and OEM cables. I am now running 14" t-bars and the OEM cables were too short. The wiring harness has plenty of length, but everything else was too short.
Thanks for the info. Definitely don't want to re-cable, since I heard that is expensive. Maybe I should go with the 12 1/2" apes and not have to worry about that plus the laws against the taller bars.
Is that battery bag, the HD tool kit bag that they used to sell?

Motion Pro Company sells cables at a very reasonable cost. Just did an ape job myself. Best advice would be to get the bars mounted and measure/compare them to the stock lines. Sometimes it's not just the height of the bar, but you have to also consider the pullback of the bar.
Good luck.
