Opened up the cams. They were off one tooth. My bad. It was my first cam install and I thought I double checked everything. Live and learn I guess. Ran a few auto tunes on the fp3 and its getting better.
So recently I had TW-777 cams installed on my fxdls. I bought the install kit , however, the mechanic at Harley said that he used the stock pushrods on my Dyna, rather than changing them to the adjustable Pushrods that the kit came with.
My question is, does the stock SE-259 measure up the same as TW-777?

Dont sweat it. If youve never timed/phased anything its easy to do when youre learning on the fly. Thats what its all about man. Everyones a virgin at some point. If you never make mistakes it means youre not trying hard enough. Good job.

I'm running an Andrews 57H cam with the FP3. I wound up destroying my oil pump (replaced with an SE Oil Pump) due to not reading about the sequence for reinstalling the oil pump on the crank shaft during the cam install, and also didn't tighten one of the adjustable pushrods enough. Lost power from a triple digit mph run shortly after install. You live....you learn
Glad you figured it out and it sounds like it's coming together for you. I do like how the A57H never seems to run out of steam, but do miss the torqueier hit at low revs.
...and I just went crazy trying to solve a front-end "klunk," only to find that I'd confused the upper and lower dust covers on my neck bearings (they're different sizes... I didn't notice)... Even when the adjuster felt tight, the bearings weren't properly loaded!
Hi BlueBob, i wonder if you might point me to where I could grab that map. I realize this thread is a few years old that but would be sweet if someone had it laying around. Thanks much appreciated.
