Default SE II mufflers

I have a set of Screaming Eagle II slip on mufflers, man they are LOUD, I don’t think they’re any baffles inside.
what the best, easiest, cheapest baffles to install...I don’t care for very loud exhaust, nice rumble is fine..

if if someone has a used set from SE II slipons id be interested.

I have those slip ons on my bike. I replaced the baffles with TTI's from DK Customs. It sounds and runs way better. You can get them for around $30 shipped, much less than the SE baffles.

Did you use the 258 baffles?

I ran the SEIIs, and a set of donated cycle shacks. To be 100% honest, I liked the cycle shack slip ons better than the Screamin Eagles and they sounded better, more rasp... to me. YMMV

It was a while back and I think those were the ones, but just measure the opening and ask DK for the correct size.

I put the DK Custom TTI inserts in the mufflers today, I can’t tell any difference in the sound...
oh well...might have to look at other baffles.

man, just go onto amazon.com.

there are tons of different baffles quite cheap. usually sized by the OD of the muffler body. Then find the right inner opening and length or cut to fit.

I would make it a point to put a few good tack welds in for insurance. And if theres no packing go to the autoparts store and pick up some sheet fiberglass for riberglass repair. Wrap it in paper tape.

Ive seen 2.5in w/ a 1.75 perf opening. thats 1-1/4ins of glass

My 11 FXDC came with V&H slip ons with baffles and it was obnoxious.

I ended up getting a pair of baffles from smartpartz. I took my baffles to a muffler shop and had them weld the smartpartz baffles to the V&H baffles. It made the thing much quieter and tolerable. Huge difference and the smartpartz pieces will also increase your backpressure which all Harley's need in order to work correctly.
