Thinking about first Harley - 2013 Super Glide Custom
Dyna Glide ModelsSuper Glide, Super Glide Sport, Super Glide Custom, Dyna Glide Convertible, Super Glide T-Sport, Dyna Glide Police, Dyna Switchback, Low Rider, Street Bob, Fat Bob and Wide Glide.
The 2011 FXDC custom, low, wide are the cats meow. Just the perfect size. As my salesman said about the 883. Its a bitch bike.. got the dyna and never looked back. Did some up grades but thats a matter of preference. Its just a good all around bike. Mines paid for and I have absolutely NO INTENTION of swaping to another model.
Also, find out if it was tuned for a stage 1 at the dealer. At that price i think so. The can be had cheaper but not in near that condition.
After going for the Steel Toe Tour year ago April I was really seriously thinking of Street Glide BUT put a new HVAC system in @$11,870 that pretty much killed the SG. BUT the Carrier Infinity is awesome both heat & A/C! Dyna paid for & nothing wrong W/it !

not to hijack thread but that carrier system is the cats meow.. The trane is comporable.. is that 2 systems or one? Im guessing one large system zoned. And hell, tell the old lady that the return on investment (cheaper bills) is going into your piggy bank. System should pay for itself in a few years. Just stay on the media filters (merv8?) and get someone to clean the coils every year or 2.
OH.. and u get ur new bike when you smash the piggy bank lol

It's a heat pump Replaced original 18yr old Lenox from when we built the house. WOW What a HUGE difference in performance!! LED digital tjermostat 1 ONE degree makes a huge difference too.
Or just go do what I did on my barebones ness , see below Also Look for a stainless steel clean out cover if the filter bothers you. no need to cut. They do have a dyna specific filter but i didnt want it. The 2011 FXDC custom, low, wide are the cats meow. Just the perfect size. As my salesman said about the 883. Mine is the 103 so That's why I wanted to keep the "original? center from AC Cover. I bought one on ebay to cut out, still have the original. I know wasted $$ But I'm **** about that stuff.
From what I can see the bike has the upgraded smooth spoked rims. A very nice touch ($550 upgrade when new) and I think they are tubeless also. The previous owner relocated the front turn signals, put on a new seat, replaced the license plate frame with a nice laid down unit, replaced the intake and replaced the mufflers with slip ons. When you replace both of those it’s a very good chance he re-tuned the bike. You should call the previous owner and ask him if and how he did it. A Vance and Hines Fuelpac3 is common and if it is what he used he should give you the tuner. It’s matched to the bike and cannot be used on any other bike.
For long hauls all all you will need is a windshield and either a set of saddlebags or put a backrest on it so you can attach a bag that rests on your passenger seat (see my photo below). I added a simple riser to bring the handlebars a tad up and closer to me. Check this forums classified every single day and you will eventually find everything at a fraction of the original price.
A late model Harley Super Glide Custom is ALWAYS going to be desirable. It’s the classic bike design. You did real good! Congratulations and enjoy it!
