Tail Light Out, '06 Wide, Not Bulb

Hi all;
I've been AWOL from the Forums for a few years now. I have an issue; no running light. Brake light and blinkers are fine, and it's not the bulb. Is there a dedicated fuse for the tail/running light? I'm hoping it's not a bad module. Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome back, nice to hear from you. Have you checked the connections? Might have a dirty pin or socket, disconnect clean with some contact cleaner, re-connect and try again. I read you checked the bulb, bulbs are cheap try a new one, clean the bulb socket also.

The tire can sometimes rub or contact the wire under the fender, then bad things like this happen. Give a look up under the fender, should be easy to spot. Good luck.

I'll check for tire-rub (had shortened shocks for a little while), and dirty connections. Thanks to all contributors.

Check the front brake lever

I don't know if the '06 was like my '14, but mine has a small "button" that must be lined up with and depress a switch within the front brake lever assembly. If you made any adjustments wherein you loosened the brake lever you may not have correctly realigned it when putting it back on. It is very easy to not get it properly aligned and very easy to remedy. Take a close look, or call you H-D Service desk and ask if your model is like mine. I had same problem and it cost me $12 for them to fix it and they explained it to me and now I have fixed my own several times after making adjustments. Good luck.

OP: Clarify...

There are running lights on the front, in the turn signals, there is also a running light in the rear, the tail light.

Are all running lights inoperative?
