Check Engine Help!
Hopefully you guys can help me out. My check engine light popped up on my '13 Street Bob last night. Bike rode fine the rest of the way home, but the light is on constant. I ran the codes, but have no idea what they mean or if they are serious. Hopefully one of you can tell me, so I don't get raped at the HD dealership. Here's the codes
ECM
P0051- Rear H02s low/open
BCM
B2121- Starter output open
B2151- Left rear turn signal output open
B2173- H2 output shorted low
ECM

Before you take it in, do you have a service manual? If not get one if you plan on doing any work at all on your bike. second, check your charging system, especially the ground wire...then have the battery load tested....once you have established that all the electrical is good...now you can look at the codes. The rear H02 is your O2 sensor on the exhaust pipe, in this case the rear one. Check for broken wires etc...other wise replace the unit (comes complete with the wiring etc)...I have had to do this twice on my SGC. the other 3 are stored in the BCM and again ...probably electrical issue which you can clear once things get sorted...
