Hi everyone,
im replacing my rocker arms on my lrs and wondering how many of you suggest s&s roller rockers over forged? Theres not many reviews on either one so if you use either, please let me know how they hold up. Id like to quiet down the valvetrain a bit but am also worried about potential failures causing all the rollers to let loose. I have a screaming eagle 117 with se 259e cams. Is it worth the extra cash? Thank you.
For cams with more than .600" lift roller rockers reduce valve guide and valve stem wear. For less radical cams like the ones you're running, rollers are not really worth the extra cost.
It's also been said that the rollers are actually noisier.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I wont be doing any more performance upgrades so the cams will stay. Glad I asked cause I was ready to waste the extra money on roller rockers.

Is this the problem with the "bellmouthing" on the guides on Chevy's LS7? (They have .591 lift.)

Hmmm, I don't think that is just a Chevy thing. I think that's caused by the retainer/lock making contact with the top of the guide and not accounting for valvetrain momentum ..
