Bikes sales are flat, most places will do anything to make a deal, coming down a few “k” is nothing...

The switchback is a great bike I have two, but if you have never had a dyna before I would walk, your going to spend a lot of time chasing vibration issues...they all have them (dyna’s) not just theSB, front motor mounts are an issue, getting the power train alignment procedure correct can be tiring...not to mention dangerous if done wrong...

Sounds like a good deal. I don't think you can go wrong for 7500, but I'm from Europe so wouldn't understand the prices in the state.

For me the switchback was my first harley. I've never regret buying it. But for me it needed some mods (I'm 30) to make it a bit less shiny. Not too expensive because it fits almost every dyna part from 2006 up, even when it states on the harley site that it wouldn't fit.

You can really do a lot with the bike, seen some great examples of clubstyle but also the classic look as posted above. Chinebullshop did a great classic rebuild and Stickey made a Matt black version.

Best thing I installed was the mustang seat, improving the riding Comfort significantly. Second would be the progressive 430 rear shocks, making it handle a bit tighter.

Hope you are a bit more convinced!

Mustang wide tripper. Suited for a 3 week 3400 trip last year!

Not mentioned yet, but some genius decided to bury the rear brake reservoir behind the slip on exhaust and the framework which holds it.....being it well over 2 years old I'd bet my last dollar the fluid hasn't been touched.....Mine hasn't but it will this spring.

I have been a Road King guy for a long time, but in the last 2 or 3 years my wife hasn't ridden much with me so I have been looking at downsizing to a Switchback.

Is a drivers backrest an option for these bikes? I have lower back problems and a backrest is a must for me on any ride over an hour or two.

Has anyone on here gone from a Road King or other touring bike to a Switchback? If so I would love to hear your thoughts.

I've seen seats with the drivers backrest....the seat is an aftermarket option. As for the switch (no pun intended) I went from a streetglide to mine, I love the lightness and all around handling of it , and with the 103 all the power one would need......they call it a ''baby'' road king for good reason.....I feel like a king when I'm on it.

I like mine a 15. I haven't noticed the vibration thing but read a lot about it. Bag guards only HD that I have found but they attach to the bags, passed. Tour pack mounting is a problem. The quick detach side plates are a different size. Even my 1200 Sporty was easy to mount a tour pack on with a quick detach. That is the one thing that I really miss. I bought it last Feb with 4k on it and it has about 21k on it now w/o out complaint.I haven't been able to ride since Oct due to accident injuries or I would have at least another 5k. Soon to change I hope. I did change to the HD speedo with analog tach, and gas gauge, Mustang seat, Custom Dynamics F/R, and mustache bar. i think the model is a real sleeper for riding one up like I do, especially for what they sell for now. Not sure that I would want it as a 2 up bike, though. The light weight is great. Had plenty of heavyweights in the past when two up was the going thing--don't miss either one, lol.

While I was originally considering a Switchback (thanks for all of the feedback!), I decided to go with this.
2014 CVO Deluxe 110ci. This one is a blast to ride and so, so purdy... the bike, not the bald, fat guy... LOL !!!
