Default URGENT!! Need help from Switchback owners!

The following 2014 Switchback is up for sale. Owner will take $8,000 but I have offered $7,500 (NADA Low Retail: $7,640, High Retail: $10,050). Bike is one owner and has 7k miles.
First question, assuming all is well with the bike, is $7,500 a decent price? Second question, don't know much about the Switchbacks so what, if any, issues do/have they had that I need to be aware of?
I've had several Harleys (Dyna, Street Glide, Ultra Limited, now a Tri Glide). I'm looking for a smaller 2-wheel bike for buzzing around town, errands, etc., when I'm not needing to tour on the Tri Glide. Or maybe flip the Switchback if there is anything to be made, assuming I can get it for $7,500. I welcome your thoughts. Thanks!

Ask to look at maintenance record and look at condition of tires possibly use tires as a bargaining chip, if they worn and at the end of service life, that's $500 right there.

Seems like a good deal to me if it all checks out. Even for the 8k I would happy with that deal. Looks clean from what I can tell. I'm not real familiar with switchback issues but the one I remember is the exhaust having a vibration, I think it was a fairly easy fix if I'm not mistaken.

Vibration is something that a lot of folks complain about.
Seems some switchbacks have it worse than others, and some have had to take further steps to smooth things out.
When I bought mine, I test rode 2 brand new ones - one had a nasty buzz, the other didn't.
That's about the only specific switchback issue I can think of.

No idea about price, I've never looked at what they're going for.

Low mileage, and good condition 2014 Switchbacks are going for in the upper $9K range here in Florida, and the dealers can't keep them in stock. That sounds like a fantastic deal, and I would have no problem buying it as long as it checks out ok. I have a 2014, and like it a lot. I have owned 2 Streetglides, 2 Roadkings, and a Heritage. For the riding that I do these days, (no more than 200 miles a day) I like the Switchback better than any of the others. It handles so much better than the larger/heavier bikes at lower speeds. And is very comfortable for me once I put a Mustang seat with a backrest on it. (a bad back made that a must) The only other thing that I might do eventually is replace the handlebars with some taller ones to make the reach a little better for me.

The previous owner put a Cobra slip on muffler on my bike, and there are no vibration issues other than the normal Harley non balanced engine ones. A bit of a shake at idle, but it smooths out nicely once I am moving.

Just paid 7900 for a 2012 with 30k on it for my kid. Some extras too. Has ABS and Security and the handlebar mounted stereo. D&D 2 into 1 pipe and heavy breather intake. Upgraded pegs and pads. Stock foot boards. Bike is super clean with detachable sissy bar and 2 new tires. The salesman threw in a 100.00 gift card and front and rear Custom Dynamics turn signals with smoke lenses.

The rattle will be the bags. They all do it. I'll be making rubber shims to see if I can fix it.

They are very nice and good bikes for exactly the mission you described. Owners can chime in about a vibration emanating from the muffler but it’s easily fixed somehow. I would have bought one in 2013 when I bought my Superglide but couldn’t get past the design of the wheels. In hindsight I was stupid because I’ve spent money on saddle bags and a windshield (which isn’t as effective as the one on the Switchback). The floorboards are a plus on the Switchback too. Don’t be dumb and lose the deal for $500. If you like the color and it checks out buy the bike.

Switchback? Rocker? Cross Bones? Fat Boy? Bad Boy? (va)Dyna? If I were to ever own one of those bikes I would NEVER refer to it by name. I would ALWAYS use the letter designations only.
