Hi, I currently ride a 04 Yamaha Midnight Star XV1700, but have to say I really like the look of the new (here in the UK) Street Bob. I'd be interested to hear comments or thoughts from owners, and if anyone knows any links to Roadtests or Reviews that'd be great too, many thanks.
Hi there. I am from england too (wolverhampton). Ive got a street bob on order, hopefully to be delivered later this month. When i went to the hd dealership, i had no intention of buying a nother bike, as i already had a new sportster, but took a test ride on the bob. Once i rode it for a while, with those crazy mini ape handlebars, I just knew I HAD to get one. Lovely engine, superb transmission, nice low seat. You really feel like jack the biscuit riding it![8D]If you havent tried one yet, get down to your dealers pronto! The best thing you can do is try for yourself. If you like it, order one as soon as you can as there is a bit of a back log on delivery.
Went to the bike show in birmingham on friday. I was a bit worried in case i saw something that i would like better. But couldnt see anything i preferred. (hmm maybe the victory hammer... am i allowed to say that on this site??)
Those street bobs are nice bikes. I think you'll find quite a few people on here that really like theirs. When I bought my springer classic this past August I looked at the street bob very closely. The reason I decided not to get it is that I ride longer 2-up trips and I didn't feel the street bob would serve me that well for that. But I sure would like to have one as a second bike for short trips and just for fun. Good luck with your selection
HEY BIG DOG HOW DO LIKE STREET BOB. I LIKE MINE BUT SURE AM HAVING ALOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THE MOTOR RUNNING RIGHT,
LET ME KNOW ABOUT YOURS FOR REFERENCE THOUGHTS ON THE BOB.
Howdy, welcome to the forum. Do you have axcess to the AIM in your part of the country? The reason that I was asking, is that they did an article on the new Bobber awhile back and I have been hooked on them ever since. I have yet to sit on one, but I sure would like to some time. To me, it has a little of an old school look.
p.s. in case that you don't know what the AIM is, it is this, American Iron Magazine. Hope that this helps
I have had no problems with my Street Bob at all. I have almost 800 miles on it so far and just put the Screaming Eagle Slash Down Mufflers on. I think it now sounds more like a Harley should. At cruising speed with the stock mufflers you couldn't here the engine. I have the stage 1 A/C but I have not put it on yet as I am still trying to figure out if the MoCo knows what they are doing about the stag1 download for the 06 Dyna. My dealership tells me that the stage 1 download is for a stage 1 A/C and stock pipes, that if I want to put hte A/C on with aftermarket pipes I need a race tuner or power commander. Still I couldn't be happier with the bikes performance.
