For what it's worth l install a Screaming Banshee horn under the cow bell on my Ultra. It's much louder than stock, plug and play electrical horn. Fifteen minutes to install..
I always used the Fiamm Freeway Blasters on nearly everything that has a wimpy horn. They come in two tones, high and low. i think, the low is best for singles. If you are handy with cabling, a relay also helps with making sure you get the voltage to be loud.
Another option is Piaa but I don't have any experience with them.
Well I got it all wrapped up with a fuse right after the positive of the battery.
So it's got a 15 amp fuse in the side fuse box a 30 amp fuse on the relay and I put a 20 at the battery.
About every third time I honked the horn the 20 amp fuse at the battery would blow.
Ed I looked at your chart again and for my gauge 14 and length 2 ft, 4 feet if you include the return negative line which I think you're supposed to which is way under 10 ft I could use a 30.
So I put a 25 in there it seems to be working.
if this starts blowing I'll just take off the two electric horns and live with the one trumpet air horn.
Hŕaving multiple horns doesn't really seem to add a whole lot to the sound anyway.
If you have one horn at 120 decibels and add another horn at 120 decibels you don't get 240 decibels you probably get 125..
The air horn is what you really hear.
Again thanks FLHRinFL and Ed
