I've never had a problem with fork locks, allway's been careful with them and kept them lubricated.
Sorry to hear you got it our of alignment.
I can remember years ago we had two holes that came together and put a padlock in it.
Dang I'm must be gettin old and forgittin stuff.

if the lock is not working then contact a locksmith, he will solve the issue.

On my Dyna you have to wiggle the front end back and forth a little bit while turning the key to get it to rotate fully to lock or unlock.

hahaha fun fact about Harley barrel locks, or any barrel lock for that matter, I can unlock most barrel locks faster with my pick than i can with their key. Barrel locks are a joke they are more easily pickable than a master lock, (which are known as the worst quality locks ever).

But yeah your like a zillion years late to this thread. And if a fork lock stops working it could be broken, (happened to me) and there is just a small set screw that holds it in place to slide the assembly out.
