2005 with sputter
Just got a 2005 dyna super glide with twin 88 engine and fuel injection. Bike has 9000 miles. Changed fluids, plugs, fuel etc. and bike still has a sputter. It occurs at any speed/rpm, whether at idle or under power at 60 mph. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Here's an economical fix. Drain/siphon the gas out of the tank, put in a tankful of premium name brand gas, i.e. Chevron, Exxon, Shell any Top Tier gas. use some Techron from the bottle at required dosage. check all the cable ends make sure they are clean, grounds and positive connections. Check the voltage to the battery a few minutes after starting, should be around 14.2-14.3 VDC at idle.
Top Tier gas will have the required detergents to keep injectors clean, run of the mill gas stations may not have these detergents. Google Top Tier gas.

Well I checked everything there was to check. Plugs, wires, gas, fuel line, coil, and finally fuel injectors. Pulled both out and when I went to clean them the amount of brown that came out was awesome. Also noticed some soot build up around injector holes. Solution - order a new pair. Hopefully when I get them and put them in the problem will be solved.

Just curious what do your plugs look like? You mention your injectors were real sooty. Some 05's got built with the wrong valve guide seal installed, allowing oil in the cylinder and fouling plugs, sooty and wet. May not be your problem but that was an issue on the 05's.
