I have a friend that tows car left at Motels ,shopping centers ect. There is a paper work process that must be followed. often once towing and storage charges are added up . The cost to recover it and insurance company, or finance holder. is no longer interested in it. But the process must still be followed even if you scrap it. Junk yard can not take a vehicle for scarp. Just because you drop it off.
Some years back salvage yard near here was locked down and operators changed with having stripped parts from pick up trucks and no paper work. They were from stolen trucks
No liens, no theft records. I don’t have the access anymore to get the ownership particulars to do more research considering one of my bikes registration expired in 1997, Fairly certain it’s OK plus it was “repoed” by some less than cordial biker friends of mine who were owed money or something by the person, or performed a service for him, And I know that they would never dare put a fight up on that one.
From out here in electron land it looks like a stolen motorcycle. Repossessed without paper or court order = stolen . No disrespect but without proper legal paper work the bike has no owner and it is questionable how you came into possession of it.
