I buy most of my stuff from powersellers on ebay. really fast shipping and great prices that beat the dealers. Same stuff!!!

I wonder why dealers won't match the price? Seems like the noble (and business savvy) thing to do...even if they met you halfway at 10%, that's enough to sweeten the deal I think.

Another $0.02

i am looking at spending close to a grand on extra add-ons off the bat. If they don't want to give me the 20% off (which I am going to ask before I go to pick up the bike), I am going to order the parts, take them in, and have them installed before i take delivery. That is $200 savings (which will buy more parts )

Hello,

I have a 2007 FXDC Super Glide like you do. What saddlebags do you have? Are they hard mounted or throwovers?

Thanks,

I called them last week. If you are buying something that you saw on their website, make sure you ask for the internet sales department. If you don't, they will try to charge you regular price. Only reason I called is I had to order something else that I didn't know the proper name or part number. The part I knew about he quoted regular price until I mension the website price.

First off I'd like to say that I have nothing but good things to say when it comes to ordering from chicagoharleydavidson.com, I ordered about $800 worth of stuff which would have cost me way over a grand if I would have went to my local dealer.

Chicago HD can afford to sell at a 20% discount because they know that even though they aren't making a full profit like your local dealer they are actually making more of a profit because they are getting new customers everyday by word of mouth. Chicago HD is known for being the place to order HD stuff for 20% off Retail. Good business if you ask me, makes you wonder why local dealers don't do it! my local dealer won't budge a bit on prices that's why I shop around when it comes to accessories etc.

I also have talked to my dealer about discount prices, they always so NO. Its best to buy online and save 20%. I have never had a problem with the local dealer installing parts that I purchased else where but I have heard that some dont like to do that.

Here is the correct URL for M&M Cycles:
https://www.mandmcycles.com/homepage.htm

They are in Ohio and are a small shop that gives discounts...check them out.

I laugh when I hear about Zanottis!

I bought my bike there, and I do get a discount, but the internet prices are still cheaper for out of towners! I'm willing to drive there, walk in and carry the parts out...no messing with shipping for them and they want to f*** me?

I priced some parts on the internet from them and called to see about pickling them up and they said they couldn't give me the price.

It is about 45 min drive for me so I call and see if they have the part I need. I drive all the way out there just to find that they gave a Dyna part to a Sportser owner and no more in stock.

Another time, I asked the guy to actually pull the part and phsically make sure it was there. He said he had it and guess what happened when I got there? I was so pissedI was shaking and had to leave beforeI did something stupid...and no part in sight!

Local dealers get my money ONLY when I have to use them...otherwise it's the net for me!

You guys need to take a look at this thread posted by HDF Tech.
Dealers That Discount Parts
One note: Benji's has changed hands so I don't know if this info still applies for them.

I've orderd from Zanotti's, M & M, and ChicagoHarley. Have no complaints with any of them. M & M gives the most personal service (IMO) though.
