Dyna wide glide surging, popping poor idle
new to the forum so just want to firstly say hello
bought my 1st Harley a few weeks ago - 2006 Harley Dyna wide
i have been experiencing problems for the last week and wondering if anyone can help?
when the bike idles it seems the RPMs seem to jump (like its hunting)
also when im now cruising with little throttle it will sometimes hesitate, surge and backfire.
if i accelerate hard all is fine, its only happening when holding a constant throttle or just a small amount
I have changed the TPS and the MAP sensor on the hope it sorts it but no joy, spark plugs look normal
pulled the fuel pump out the tank today to inspect but all looks good - ordered a fuel pressure regulator and new fuel filter today on the hope that it may be that
Any ideas anyone?

says map sensor which I've changed also has a P0261 code, just checked around the front injector and there it is wet with what im assuming is fuel on the side if intake
think i will renew injectors and seals as to me now this is likely the problem
Yes checked for codes

It's always better, and cheaper, to diagnose a problem rather than to throw random parts at it hoping to fix it.....
You found a code related to the fuel injector, inspected it, and found a possible leak. IMHO..... That's the way to work towards a proper problem diagnosis.
I would still look closely at the fuel injector, and the o-ring that may be leaking.... I might even test the fuel injector itself... But if anything looks out of place, replacing that fuel injector would be money well spent....
NOTE: I recently had what I thought was a leaking fuel injector. Upon close examination, I found it was the MAP sensor seal that was leaking and marking the area around the fuel injector on the intake. I hope you used a new seal, and got a firm, snug fit with the seal when you replaced the MAP sensor...
