HD Quick Detach Windshield
I did the raiseing of the tank.
Placement of sheet of steel behind the headlight.
Use the toolbag to cut down air flow.
Reagleing of detachable windshield.
Just to find out everybody had problems but short people.

Glad the WS worked for ya dynamite. Got any picks of the bike with it on? I am going to puchase a shield but still looking for the right one.
Thanks

I purchased the HD quick detach windshield for my '07 Lowrider. It is the standard height lightly smoked p/n 58347-06. The assembley was just to attach the clamps to the windshield frame, took me about 15 minutes. On/off the bike in 10-15 seconds. Using a 3/4 helmet I found the buffeting to be minimal and nothing at all to worry about. I mounted the shield as low down on the stems as possible. It is 10x nicer on the highway, went up to 75mph, great.
I was debating getting it based on all the posts about the "terrible" buffeting, I'd need special flap vests, or lowers, or all kinds of crap. Bull. I do have a fork-bag that's always been on there, not sure if that makes any difference, I doubt it.
The reason for my post is for those who have been wanting on but have beeb put off by the negative buffeting posts. Maybe it's worse with 1/4 helmets (skullcaps) that (IMO) are not the smartest idea anyway, nevermind on the highway.
On suggestion, save the box. Nice to drop it in there for protection when you just are tooling around town.

I notice that I get the most buffeting in cross winds, but the calmer it is the better it is.
My new german helmet covers the top of my ears and is not much of a problem any more.
my biggest beef is the cheap a** roll pins that fall out when to remove it after awhile!
I went to my fastener shop and got some high strength ones.

Yeah, I put one on to check it out even before I got on this forum and heard all the negatives. It hasn't come off yet except to clean it. No problems at all. I can take a little buffetting to keep the darn bugs out of my face. Just ride and who cares what other people think.
