I spoke with this guy this weekend at the rally i was at... he had a road glide and was telling me that if i was to put in a 211 cam and a power tuner i would turn almost the same hp as i would with the 96ci kit... I have a 06 bob the 88ci... is there any truth to this? i already have the race tuner in my bike... if i can get the extra UMPH from the 211 cams i will do it for sure!!!
I would be curious to know, as well, what just a cam change would do for youl. Might decide to do just a Andrews 37G cam change and wait till next year for the heads...is that a bad idea or? Thanks.
I hear you can get another 5 to 10 hp and tq out of the CAM change. You may need new push rods and lifters as well to achive the max performance increase.
The SE 211 is not a good choice unless you are bumping up the compression. There are much better choices if you just want to bolt in a set ofcams in an otherwise stock engine.
Not sure if xxxflhrci had problems with the SE211 cams not that it matters. I put a set in my 03 wideglide. It has a stage 1 , the big radius pipes, SE 2600 ignand some minor carb work other than that it is bone stock. 85.50 hp and 91.23 max torque. Am very happy with the 211 cams....just my opion

Talk to a builder, yer not going to do yer own work are you.
You need to know if yer ridding 2 up and where you want the cams to come in at and kick out at. The 211 come in early and go out early, the 37 andrews comes in around 2200 rpm's and stay to around 6000 rpm. If I was gonna tear my bike down that far, I'd do the heads and have the jugs bored to 95" and not over 9.8:1 compression, change the pipes, air box and do a real tuner.
Also deceide if you want to keep any fuel mileage on yer bike.
