Been browsing ebay and looking through HD P&A catalogs for over a month to get an idea on what side plates work with my 03 Low Rider. There's a mind boggling array of shapes, cutouts, number of holes and straight/bent; and of course no part numbers on the brackets. To make things more complicated, I've got the Wide Glide rear fender (which I still want to replace with the correct fender) but at least the previous owner put on the quick detach and turn signal relocation kits, and the catalog says there's different plates for a Wide Glide. A few searches on the site references that I can use plates from 96-05 or even plates from Sportsters. I'm sure this is a road that many have been down before, so what say the hive mind for both rigid mount and quick detach?

Yep, that is correct, I just learned that by trying my '07 Sportster plates on my new to me '98 Dyna, the Dyna bobbins are further apart.
Threw the dice and picked up a set that fits, but now trying to figure out the QD setup, everything I can find uses the turn signal stalk as the rear docking point and it's beveled to fit the plastic sheath, but of course mine isn't.
