Haha nope but there's a reason there's a tag on the dyno that says don't stand behind. Amazingly the tire still held air but there was some good size chunks of rubber bouncing around.

Sorry to hear my friend. Ive been a total roller coaster career wise. I climbed the corporate ladder only for there to be a hostile take over with all middle management wiped out at least three times.. Ive been re-hired three times to re-negotiate National deals only to be let go as soon as the contracts were in place.. seen a lot of ups and downs. Its why I started my own company and insist on staying small, simple and profitable. I wish all the best to you.
1. That's a very soft tire 2. A dyno will "cook" a new tire. This one wasn't new but.......
Ive been running Avons for years this pic frightens me. Would love details. How old? What series? What tire pressure? Do you still run Avons after this?

Thank you R2M. Much appreciated.. Sucks but we keep going..
Today I was able to get out and really get in a nice ride.. Some have asked , do you really think the heads are going to make that much of a difference?? Well between the cam and the heads which is the only change I made, I would have expected a slight difference in performance but to my expectations it totally exceeded what I thought it was going to be capable of.. Being out of work right now is kind of tough so I really can't get it on a Dyno but if I can manage to afford a couple pulls on a local dyno I will do that. This level of power is amazing.. It's way much more than my last build not just slight but way more.. We'll see what I can do..
A little update, After about 150 miles my motor started to develop pretty loud rocker noise (clacking).. So I thought maybe a pushrod came loose or not enough preload so I put 4 more flats into the preload which put me up to .156".. Still noisy and getting worse so I hooked up an oil gauge and had very good pressures.. 45 cold and 26 hot.. It didn't matter what I did, I couldn't quiet them down..So at this point i Called Scott and asked him about spring pressures and whether or not this could've been part of the problem.. He said no 380/170 and asked what lifters I was using, I told him the Woods Alpha lifters.. At that point he suggested going to the S&S and that that was all his shop would use and possibly the woods lifters were the issue.. So yesterday I put the S&S premiums back in that I swapped out for the Woods, they only had about 7k on them.. It only took a short ride to pump up the lifters so i went for a longer ride with engine temps getting up to 270* and it was very quiet.. I set preload to .140".. All is good again..I have heard of issues with the early Woods alpha lifters and that Bob Wood has went to a different manufacturer for his later style lifters.. The thing is that the oil port to the plunger is on the flat side of the lifter.. No one else does that and am wondering if this was the reason for failure to keep a pump..I'll call Bob today because the lifters actually have a 1 year warranty. Will keep you all posted..
