That does seem very tight I don't remember mine being like that.. what was the part number of that kit you got from Ultima.? If your sure you got the right one then I would count the teeth on both the front pulley and clutch basket and then count the teeth of the belt and then call Ultima and ask them what should be on there.

I just did a little research and surprisingly the Ultima 2" part#58-850 for softails and the 2-in part number 58-901 for Dyna's both use the same belt @ 140 tooth. But as far as I've always known the Dyna motor plate has a shorter center to center measurement from the engine sprocket shaft to the transmission input shaft center to center than a Softails does and then wondering is it possible then that you have one of the wrong clutch baskets out front pulley. Definitely need to call Ultima which is Jureh cycles. 877-681-0448

Yes I have contacted with Jireh Cycles for several months, they said Ultima might send “longer belt” but they have no idea when they will. Im still waiting till today. Wonder their quality control is really not good…
But I can’t stand for the noise. A guy from youtube suggest me to try the 140T belt (same teeth) from BDL (BDL-140-2) but I don’t think it would help. Instead BDL-142-2.

I just did a little more research, I downloaded their catalog and the dynas and the Softails both use of 45 tooth front pulley and 71 tooth rear pulley, however the baggers and FXR's use a 44 tooth front pulley and a 71 tooth rear pulley. I would call them back and see if you can order the 44 tooth which is part number 58-821. My next question would be are you absolutely sure you have a low rider and not an FXR? You can go to Tab performance website vin decoder to confirm what model bike you have..

One more thing count the teeth on your belt Make sure you confirm that you're supposed to have the right 140 belt

Yes mine is 2000 dyna lowrider fxdl, the first year of twincam (some electric parts same with last year 1999 evo).
Will take it out & check the teeth on both the belt and the front pulley, thank you for your suggest.

Update: After replace the ultima by the bdl 140-2, problem solved. The bdl fit well with proper deflection. Same 140 teeth but not the same tension! Hope this will help someone got the same issues.
