2011 dyna blown egn fuse won't start .Bike died would not run.back home the egn fuse was blown .Charged the battery and engine cranks over very good no starting.yes fuse was replaced plenty of fuel .doing diag code check brb with codes .appreciate any info will check diagnostics for fault codes .help
should I replace coil and or crank position sensor. lost did diag. but won't start to see if codes are in history or present . hope for a idea to get the bike to start . turns over good not starting . Thank you any idea or check list to see what's not working .
So it's missing either fuel or spark. Pull a plug out and see. Is it wet with gas? (We used to put a lit match to the plug hole...) Lay it against the head and crank. Does it spark?
Check for shorts in ignition wiring, especially near the steering head. Unplug the coil and crank sensor one at a time - if fuse stops blowing, you've found the bad part. No spark? Test coil and crank sensor. Verify grounds are clean and tight. Start with these checks first.

Well I can hear fuke pump cone on . should I leave the plugs in. And get a spark plug and pull the back plug wire off and plug it into the spark plug lay it on the head and check for spark . Like that . just don't want to replace the coil or crank position sencer if they are good . forgive the time it takes me to catch back up. hard situation at present . State has taken my house for property taxes . trying to recover and the process of getting it back. I am homeless and difficulty in getting back . but need to get some therapy only my Dyna can provide. Sincerely an avid rider . please forgive any delays . Peace

Grounding the spark plug on the cylinder won't work. The ECM needs to detect compression or it won't call for spark.
An inline spark wire detector is the way to go.
You should also get the battery charged up and get it load tested. Don't think of replacing parts unless you have a healthy battery, and have tested any other components to determine if they are faulty.
