This thread is goofy...This entire thread should be freaking nuked . Like Trotter said, why rag on what you do not own.
When I started this thread it was about my own personal opinion, like many of the other threads & member responses posted here- opinions. I, along with everyone else has a right to voice their opinion whetherYOU think it's "goofy" or not. You don't like a thread?...don't post in it & mind your own F#$%^&* business! But don't call someone's opinion or thread "goofy"...who the F%^& are you?...the forum thread approval queen? "Nuke" this...
I wanted to stay away from this post - but it keeps drawing me back.
Mostly there are a lot of good opinions here, and like JUST ABOUT every thread - this one has gone in several directions - that's OK too.
I have to agree with FXDC rider here.
He started a post and I think he was really just saying - "Hey I loved this bike - but when I went to check it out - it wasn't what I thought, was it just me?"
What's wrong with that?
Yeah - a little back and forth going on - but in general it seems good natured - no harm really?
Like my bike just the way it is. Enough soul and enough (reasonably) smooth. You can't ride a Shovel or even some Evo's for more than an hour without having to stop for 20 minutes to feel your hands. But I don't go around saying I like the way it shakes me at idle....
Softy's shake when you get into the high revs and I'd rather still be able to see out of my mirrors than having them shakin like Charo. And those of you who are honest about your Dyna's would say you'd prefer a little less shake at idle - my brothers front wheel on his Dyna was shaking at idle the other day.
Wow.. You really know really know people. You know them so much, even more so then themselves. And yet you have yet to meet them all..... When I bought mine I test rode the Softail Custom and Wide Glide... Softail was like riding my Suzuki, had a buzz feel to it. Wide Glide vibrate at idle but I could not feel it at highway speeds.
PS I can see just fine out of my mirrors.... Must have something wrong with your buddy's bike.
